Rumus Simple Present Tense

Kalimat	Verbal
+	S + Was, Were + V-ing + O + adv
-	S + was, were + not (wasn’t, weren’t) + Ving + O + Adv
+?	Was, were + S + Ving + O + Adv ?
-?	Was, were + S + not + Ving + O + Adv ? Wasn’t, weren’t + S + not + Ving + O + Adv ?

Kalimat	Nominal / Nonverbal
+	S + Was, were + 3 C
-	S + Was, were + Not + 3 C
+?	Was, Were + S + 3 C ?
-?	Was, were + S + Not + 3 C ? Wasn’t, weren’t + S + 3 C ?

Catatan :

Kalimat Non verbal past continuous tanse sama dengan kalimat non verbal simple past.

3 C : 3 complement (adverb, adjective, noun)

Was : she, he, it, orang ke tiga tunggal. Contoh andi, sari dll

Were : they, we, you, orang ke tiga jamak. Contoh andi dan sari
